About the Startup Showcase

The Startup Showcase is a spotlight event within AI on the Lot, the largest AI media conference in the world. It brings together promising AI startups in media and entertainment to present directly to a curated room of entertainment investors and studio executives. The audience includes influential industry figures, from the CTOs of every major movie studio to top media investors to viral AI media influencers.

What Is AI on the Lot?

AI on the Lot is the largest AI media conference at the intersection of artificial intelligence and the entertainment industry. Hosted annually in Los Angeles, the event brings together over 2,000 founders, executives, investors, and filmmakers in the AI video space for a two-day summit.

Requirements

Who should apply?

AI-native companies building products for media and entertainment. This includes companies focused on:

  • Film and television production
  • Post-production and VFX workflows
  • Music and audio infrastructure
  • Gaming pipelines
  • Advertising and creative operations
  • Distribution, rights management, and monetization
  • Talent, IP development, and studio infrastructure

Product Stage

Applicants must have a working product. MVP or beyond is required. This is not a concept-stage showcase. We prioritize companies that can demonstrate real functionality inside a defined workflow. Early-stage through growth-stage companies are welcome.

FAQ

How many companies are selected?

12 companies are selected per showcase. Selection is competitive and based on product maturity, industry fit, and the strength of the workflow being addressed.

Does my company need to be based in Los Angeles?

No. Applications are open to companies from anywhere in the world. Accepted companies are responsible for their own travel and accommodation.

What does the presentation format look like?

Each company gets 6 minutes to present and demo their product, followed by 4 minutes of Q&A. Live demos are required, pre-recorded video will not be accepted.

Is there a fee to apply or present?

There is no fee to apply. Up to two presenters per company will receive complimentary passes to AI on the Lot 2026.

When will I hear back?

All applicants will be notified of their status by May 10, 2026. Due to the volume of applications, we are not able to provide detailed feedback on applications that are not selected.

When are applications open?

Applications open on February 26, 2026 and close on May 1, 2026. Late applications will not be accepted. Apply here.
